This is the message of the prophet Nahum, so this is not a book about a minor prophet, but rather a word that deserves our attention. Believing in God means letting God be God. If we become a god in our measure, small and limited, that Pocket God is but a creature in our image and likeness, that although we can handle at will and whim, not the God of the Bible, but the god of our imagination. The true God is a great and awesome God, and to his holiness and righteousness we too, like it or not, the reality of his wrath.
